'The Sun and Her Flowers' by Rupi Kaur, 256 pages - Instagram @c_reads_books

The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur is a collection of poetry, along with drawings, separated into five chapters, with those being wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming. The book explores themes including love, loss, femininity, immigration, family, and relationships through poems of varying length.

Overall, I reasonably liked this poetry collection. I have not read an abundance of poetry, but there were some poems in this collection that I really appreciated and related to. Some of the poems I related to more than others, but I mostly overall liked Kaur’s style of writing. I also must say I loved the illustrations she added and thought it added a nice extra touch to accompany her writing. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys readable and relatable poetry!
