⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Night Road by Kristin Hannah tells the story of the Farraday family, and Lexi Baill, the girl who changes their lives forever when she moves to town. Lexi becomes best friends with Mia and falls in love with Zack, the twins whose mother Jude loves more than anything else. The trio become inseparable, and their senior year in high school is as good as it can be, until one fateful night that changes their lives forever. One bad decision turns into years of regret and trying to forgive.
I loved this book. To be honest though, I wasn’t all that in love with the first half of the book. The beginning of the story was definitely good, but it really captivated my attention after the climax. The book became intense in the best way possible, with the story taking me on a roller coaster of emotions. I loved reading how each character, though they experienced the same event, reacted in very different ways. Despite all of the pain and grief expressed in this book, the ending is beautifully hopeful in a way that makes me fall in love with Kristin Hannah again every time I read one of her books. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys heart-wrenching, yet simultaneously beautiful and hopeful stories!
