Fascism: A Very Short Introduction by Kevin Passmore is one of many in the series of Very Short Introductions published by the Oxford University Press. They are written by experts and cover a wide variety of different topics. This particular book gives a brief analysis of the political theory of fascism, an ideology so complex that even academics struggle to agree on an exact definition of it, although it is generally categorized as a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism. This book discusses the various definitions of fascism, as well as the application of it throughout history (including whether nazism is a form of fascism), and its legacy and implications today.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I always love reading anything relating to political theory, with this book being no exception. I find history, government, and politics very interesting because it gives you insight into the world and people. Government is especially interesting in that regard, because it shows how people group themselves in society, and is in a way related to psychology, another topic I find fascinating. This book was particularly interesting in that fascism is a very complex ideology that is still currently being questioned as to whether it is in some ways and places in use. I would recommend this book to anyone who, like me, enjoys reading about history, government, politics, and even just people and society in general!
