Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller is a play that tells the story of a man named Willy Loman, an aging, failing salesman, along with his wife and two sons. His son, Biff, and his relationship slowly deteriorate, with the two constantly arguing. Biff wants desperately for his father to forget the dreams he harbors for him, yet Willy refuses to give up his high hopes for himself and his son. The American Dream proves to divide, rather than unite this family, with the ending being a truly shocking surprise.

I really liked reading this story. I have not read an abundance of plays, yet the few I have read, I have generally enjoyed. Although plays are also amazing read, the more I read them, the more I want to see them performed live, as they are meant to be. Otherwise, I really liked this story, and the ending was truly shocking, which I genuinely loved, although it was not the most pleasant surprise. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys plays or just a good, dramatic story!
